Really , Mr.President ?

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

The question I was asked most today by fellow World Leaders, who think the USA is doing so well and is stronger than ever before, happens to be, “Mr. President, why does the American media hate your Country so much? Why are they rooting for it to fail?”
A Narcissistic Personality Disorder
1. An exaggerated sense of self-importance. 2. A sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration. 3. Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it. 4. Exaggerate achievements and talents. 5. Be preoccupied with fantasies success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate. 6. Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally special people like themselves. 7. Monopolize conversations and belittle or lookdown on they perceive as inferior. 8. Expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations. 9. Take advantage of others to get what they want. 10. Have an inability or unwillingness to recorgnize the needs and feelings of others. 11. Are envious of others and believe others are envious of them. 12. Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner coming across as conceited, boastful, and pretentious. 13. Insist on the best of everything-for instance the best car or office.
@softspokenman Nice to have that clip ready, but I'm tired of it being such an appropriate response already.
@MistyCee I'm just the messenger.

An hour before this tweet he was arguing with himself about his popularity in all the fake polls - including FOX. He's been whippin on FOX lately. I don't think he realizes they're the only thing keeping him out of jail.

Fortunately for all of us, an hour later still the President of the United States of America was congratulating some FOX News pundit none of us has ever heard of on his pending nuptials. This is the important shit that occupies the cave between his ears.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@hlpflwthat I wonder whether we'll see a parting of the ways ..... or will Fox simply stop announcing their poll results for fear of further enraging him.
hlpflwthat · M
@RodionRomanovitch Right? FOX has had plenty of cozy relationships with conservatives, but this is the first guy who genuinely believes he is the reason for FOX's success - despite them being #1 at whatever it is they do for decades.

Coming soon ... shitloads of angry ol white guys battle each other for title of Biggest Loser.
@hlpflwthat In a recent interview with George Stephanopoulos, 30 hours on YouTube, in one segment sitting in the back seat of a limo, George asked him about the polls that showed him down, he said "Those polls don't exist, there fake news, mine show me winning everywhere" (if they don't exist how can they be fake news ?) [Trump said he was a little wise guy and attempted to get out]} may not be verbatim.

Can you imagine any world leader asking Trump anything?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ThePerfectUsername Sport??? Its a goddamned Olympic event. In what Universe would ANY of the people at that conference ask the Twit in chief a question anything like that. He is a global joke.
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
Bit like shooting fish in a barrel though isn't it. No matter what the question was you're bound to get something moronic back. @whowasthatmaskedman
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ThePerfectUsername It isnt so much about the quality of the question as it is the fact that it is a complete fabrication. Everyone at that conference agrees that America is in the middle of the final scene from Thelma and Louise. No one will ask the question.

Donald believes his own bullshit. Sad!
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@SmartKat No he doesn't ..... but the saps who support him do.

BAD!
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Yes, that sounds like something Merkel, Macron, etc would say. Totally.

🤔
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@QuixoticSoul Imagine if one of them were asked it ?

@Kingfish28
Your first response set the tone
The U. S. media has zero credibility
That says you won’t like anything said by every U. S. media outlet because according to you there’s no credibility so it doesn’t matter if it’s Fox, TheBlaze, CNN or, Breitbart there’s no credibility. You’re unhappy with all of them so you complain.

@Kingfish28 Oh I didn’t realize it was an endorsement.
The Apprentice
Aug. 13, 2015/2:04 PM CBS/AP

"Donald Trump Officially fired from the Celebrity Apprentice
Due to recent derogatory statements regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending it's relationship with Mr. Trump. At NBC, respect and dignity for all are a cornerstone of our values."
@softspokenman Wait. Wasn't that before he became the country?
👍️ @MistyCee His history speaks for his character, yes.
Typical self-serving bullsh*t. Anytime the media reports something that Trump has said or done, he calls it “an attack on America”. And I’d love to know if he identified which “world leaders” asked him that (other than maybe Putin or Kim Jong).
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard Nobody asked him , he just made it up ..... and the funny thing is that a lot of the replies here simply overlook that. They are so accustomed to being lied to now that it doesn't even matter what he says.
@RodionRomanovitch Lol, just like he says “I heard” before some lie but can never name a source.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard I actually recall him making a similarly ridiculous claim during his first G7 , I just can't remember what it was. Exactly the same MO ; " Everybody was sayin' " ..... yeah Donald , sure they were.

@softspokenman you already posted that here a few minutes ago. 😉
@SW-User 🤔 I don't know why that happened. 🤷‍♂️
The media simply creates a profitable storyline. The more it can whip people into a frenzy, the more profit. They simple pander to the emotional fury of those who cannot contain their anger over the trite and inconsequential and merely exploit it. Strategic journalism.
@RodionRomanovitch Belief in the words of any who practice politics can be fragile at best - but, like a well-written novel, a few lines of a page does not determine the nature of the story.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@EugenieLaBorgia I admire your deftness in dancing around a very direct question.

The point is however , what he said was not an aberration , or a gaffe , or a misspeak , or something that needs to parsed. It was entirely typical and just further illuminates the way in which Trump creates his own reality with complete impunity .... at least among those who support or seek to defend him.

The rest of us know better of course.
@RodionRomanovitch You know with some of these dictionary words like 'coworker' and 'overrun', they should have left the hyphen in. 'Coworker' is the worst, I think.
I don’t know if I believe that’s his most FAQ. In general, though, it’s true. At this moment, it’s like a baseball game where the pitcher who expected to be the hero has been benched and another pitcher brought in.

A team player would at least try to hope the game would go well and wouldn’t shout out threats and obscenities and criticisms over the loudspeaker.

The pitcher on the bench is sitting there hoping the replacement pitcher is incubating some vile illness that will kill him before the next inning - and they hope all his fans caught it too.

@Mamapolo2016 well said

We all know damn well the World leaders don’t think the USA is doing good. He’s gone off the deep end
SW-User
Yeah... No world leader thinks the USA is doing well though. (Except dictators of course.)
I think Charles Blow's op-ed was really far too kind to Trump.

@MistyCee I thought this piece by Andrew Sullivan was bang on the money.

http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/08/andrew-sullivan-president-trump-never-gets-any-less-absurd.html

I will go read the NYT piece now.
@RodionRomanovitch Well, that wasn't too kind, for sure. Thanks for the link!
Is it supposed to be a good thing that he identifies himself with the country?

I guess, as a non believer, I just don't get it.

@LvChris Is it really surprising that there's an antifa movement?
Fake News......
@TheSirfurryanimalWales Thanks for reminding us to believe only what we hear from HIM.

We must never forget what he tells us....
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MistyCee WE have to remember it. Because he will have forgotten tomorrow.
TJNewton · M
Add that to the other 13,000 lies he has already told
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
Well the US press can report things open and with out sendership unlike say Germany probably the French too. Two countries thst are not the best at taking self criticism so they tend not to report or are told not to report bad things or untrue things like the US.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Justenjoyit 'with out sendership unlike say Germany probably the French too' ..... you sure about that ?
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@RodionRomanovitch sure am 👍️
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Justenjoyit Sendership is rife in the EU 😂

@Stereoguy Which people? I’m one of “the people” and I don’t think Donald is the best *president we’ve ever had. Far from it.
