I thought the North American colonies rebelled against the British to escape a tyrannical Head of State who was suffering a mental health issue. Has anyone told the current POTUS that? But I expect he thinks all history is fake news and just made up to annoy him.

@beckyromero The ones that tell me that King George 3rd suffered from mental illness. I know Wikipedia is not ideal, but you can start there.

@beckyromero I'm not sure that telling me about unfair and mad ideas is helping your defence. The King was mad and issued crazy legislation despite everyone around him telling him he was unwise.

@beckyromero True he was not an absolute monarch but he was much more influential than modern monarchs. My point is a general one: the POTUS speaks as if he has absolute authority much the same as the King who reigned at the time of Independence. He forgets (it appears) that he is part of a carefully constructed system of governance that prevent him issuing orders such at the tweet in the OP having any significance in Law. You may make your own judgement as to mental competence.

No disagreement on that!
