Who thinks Trump will not get re-elected?

Tbh, I think Trump doesn’t want to get re-elected either. A recent AP poll places him at a 62% disapproval. His increased craziness over the last couple of days (Greenland/Denmark, declaring himself the 2nd coming of God, King of Israel, Chosen One, wanting to give himself the Medal of Honor, etc.) is not going to help him come 2020. Furthermore, every major policy being a complete laughingstock failure, trade war killing his farmer base, and the yield inversion signaling of recession, is not a good sign either.

He will still have his base and the rest of the question will be answered by the economy, if it is good he will be re elected and if it is bad he won't. In a way that is a shame because the economic cycle really does not have anything to do with the president.

@Subsumedpat Very true.
Economy is soaring; president says: "Hey! That was me!"
Economy is collapsing; president says: "Hey! It was the guy before me!"
🙄

@Subsumedpat Actually this is false. The President can sign tax laws, and end regulations that help stimulate the economy. Of course the Federal Reserve calls the shots. But they also have to have the influence of the President who can actually change the economic climate in which we live. Trump is just sabotaging it because this is the mindset of a con man. Build and destroy. 🙂

@Zonuss they can alter the timing that way and they can soften the blow then recession starts but they can't stop it, we have hundreds of years of evidence that says so.
