I think we could stop believing the obviously biased, progressive media. They and the democrats have some ax to grind and they are purposely pumping the public with endless lies for the specific purpose of making you angry.

Shame on them for trying.
Shame on you if your are being continuously sucked into their vortex of hate.

@Budwick and the vortex of hate by fox and the pres and others is that also bad
@Budwick It's funny. The Democrats and Republicans I know in real life-- don't hate each other. They don't caricature each other as some horrible monsters. They just have political differences. And they also don't defend their own parties and politicians lock-step. It's only when I get on the internet, that I see this visceral oil & water separation and political demonization and distorted caricatures.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@CopperCicada Yes. I too have noted that the level of ire you experience on the internet with individuals who don't share your political viewpoints is nowhere near the level you might get in "real life".

It would seem the extremes of both parties are screaming and yelling and everyone else is rolling their eyes and wondering when this will all blow over....

@Budwick I see you cannot deal with the same logic in which you live by. Now that is funny. 🤭
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I wonder what you mean. It's certainly not clear. Except that you've made up your mind to disagree - with what? I don't know.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick What makes you think that we as Americans are supposed to just sit here and take the crap that Trump throws at people daily. Are you on crack. 🤭
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss Whassa matter Zone? Tired of low unemployment? Do you long for higher taxes? Would rather be beholding to the Middle East for your oil and gas? Maybe you are sad that ISIS is all but defeated. Do you NEED government controlling your life more?

Is that the crap you can't stand?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick This is nothing new. Saw this and much more during the 1990s.
[removed by staff] 🤭
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss Zone - you should get out more.
It's not nearly as bad as you think it is.
Your opinion of my intellect means nothing to me.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick You cant be older than me if you do not remember the 1980s and the 1990s.
Or maybe you live in a craphole of a city. Either way it goes this economy is nothing new.
And no logical thinking person believes this is the best economy that we have ever had.
Its a boldface lie. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss Then question your own senses Zone. The market has NEVER been higher. It's climbed about 50% since his election.
Employment numbers improved immediately following his election. Black unemployment is the lowest EVER!
I'm sure you can find a number somewhere that isn't going to make my case - but the overwhelming evidence is that things are PFG.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick No it is not. The job market had way more employees during the latter part of the 20 century along with the labor market. We had lost 60,000 manufacturing jobs since 2001. The Rust Belt is gone. The Textile Boom from the late 60's and 70's are gone.
The automobile industry is selling less cars. GM had Pontiac, Saturn, and Oldsmobile.
I remember when K Mart was just as big as Wal Mart and now they along with hundreds of other retailers are almost extinct. You are nuts. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss It's true that not all the damage done has been recovered. It took decades for democrats to kill the steel industry. It's gonna take more than two or three to bring it back.

GM created many of it's own problems - bad example.

We are essentially at zero unemployment.
There are more jobs than people looking for them.

Go ahead and pull unrelated bad stats if you want. But nobody measures the well being of the country based on shit like you wrote - nobody.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Bad stats. Here you have a moron of a President who is piggybacking off of Obama's success.
And we all know why but you wont admit that is the reason why. This economy even now is nothing like it was 20 years ago. It will never be like it was during the 20th century especially with so many stores and restaurants still closing down. Not to mention the low attendance we have seen in major sports like professional baseball and hockey.
Its not the same. Now you can come back to reality for a change. Its ok to be real Bud. Its ok. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss Wait, what?
Two comments ago the economy sucked!
Now, it's good and Obama takes the credit?

Where did you lose your credibility Zone?
When did you see it last?
Did you look on the night stand?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick Even the Obama economy is nothing like it was 20 years ago.
Im gonna be clear with you about that too.
Nice try. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss Zone, you don't KNOW what being clear is.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick Oh sure I do. I just showed you. Ass clown. 🤭
Budwick · 70-79, M
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Zonuss The statistic you're looking for is called Labor Force Participation Rate. It is indeed not where it used to be in the 90s, and has only started to climb a little, under prolonged (and probably unsustainable) labor market pressure.

Ironically, it's also why Trump used to huff about unemployment rate being meaningless, even if he happily takes credit for it now.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@QuixoticSoul These Trumptards have amnesia. They want so desperately to believe that Trump is the Second Coming Of Christ. But they are about as clueless as a alligator
at a Cajun food fest. Its all falling apart. 🤭
