Should there be legal repercussions for cheating on your spouse who is in the military overseas?

Imagine having PTSD from a war, then coming back home to find out you've been betrayed... it's retarded that ppl be like "muh personal freedom" to call me a tyrant for wanting to make this illegal. People who have no empathy for people suffering one of the worst things you can suffer will just be like "it's a shitty thing, but we shouldn't seek justice for those people who got betrayed".

As someone who has served in the Military, no, i don't think so. Service people are no different from other couples really, yes we often get deployed, yes our life isn't necessarily an easy one for either spouse, no matter which one is deployed. The one who stays at home is left to shoulder all of the responsibilities of a normal everyday life for both. Other couples such as First responders don't have it easy either so no, there should be no legal repercussions. All one can do is hope your spouse loves you enough not to cheat, if they do well then you have to do what you think is best...

@AgapeLove So what do you want to do, go back the way things were 200 years ago and have the cheater wear a red letter "A" for adultery? Thankfully humanity has evolved somewhat and we no longer do such things in most countries. Yes, cheating is not a nice thing but it's not the end of the world, as long as there have been marriages people have cheated on each other, sadly. I do agree that say the person who was cheated on is the sole breadwinner in the family, then the cheater certainly shouldn't be "entitled" to 50% of the family assets but most divorce judges would do that anyways given proper proof of the adultery.
