According to the American Legion, this shirt is fine.

[quote]Question:
Is it permissible to wear an item of clothing that looks like the United States flag?
Answer:
Unless an article of clothing is made from an actual United States flag, there is NO breach of flag etiquette whatsoever. People are simply expressing their patriotism and love of country by wearing an article of clothing that happens to be red, white, and blue with stars and stripes. There is nothing illegal about the wearing or use of these items.

I honestly wasn’t sure what the flag etiquette rules were for articles of clothing like this, so I just did what I always do when I don’t know something. I did a little research and learned something new. @chrisCA

Fair enough. @SW-User

True however I question rag head Ilhan’s intent to qualify for that. @SW-User

I was actually surprised, because I’d always just assumed that all the flag bikinis, shirts, thongs, bandannas, etc. violated flag etiquette. This was actually news to me. @jackjjackson

You’re not being objective then if you’re going to question it when she wears it but not when someone else wears it. If it were Ann Coulter wearing it, would you have the same misgivings about the same article of clothing? @jackjjackson

It doesn’t exactly come off as an unbiased observation, does it?@RodionRomanovitch
