What is a sanctuary City?? 😳
A city that provides refuge for undocumented immigrants.@Tracos
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
One that gives the rights of citizens to illegal aliens and attempts to interfere with ICE and Customs and Border Patrol. @Tracos
Tracos · 51-55, M
Do they are effectively legalizing them ?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
One might say that. One might also say such cities are violating the state constitutions and the rights of citizens. @Tracos

But if they are legalized citizens they are no longer illegal aliens
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
“effectively” legalizing illegal aliens means that so called sanctuary cities shield illegal aliens from legal consequences and also give them legal rights costing real money paid for by real citizens. @Tracos

But they still have to work and pay taxes like any citizen right?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
They can collect Medicaid welfare and any benefits just like a citizen and you and I pay for it. @Tracos

@jackjjackson Lmao now that’s a blatant lie 😂
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Open you just blatantly lied. In edition they are eligible to vote in state and local elections and have state issued drivers licenses@QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson Lmao 😂
Man, you can suuuuuuuper stretch some of that, and the drivers license thing is true, at least in CA - but state elections 😂

In practical terms, illegals get no real access to medicaid, no welfare, etc, can't meaningfully vote in any real sense (lol schoolboard in one city), etc, etc.
