@TexChik great for the pool. the season is winding down. made the appointment to get it closed for the season already

@saragoodtimes 😲... I’ll be swimming in mine in October. But the pool at the farm gets drained after Labor Day . It’s an above ground thing and it’ll freeze out there .

@TexChik people here just cover their above ground pools never saw one collapse

We just drain it down about a foot below the lowest inlet/outlet and winerize it with chemicals and then cover it. Been dealing with pools since I was 14

@PTCdresser57 the key is a good expansion pillow. my guy puts airbags all around the perimeter

@saragoodtimes our first one cracked , 4 days of 2 degree weather . So we got a Different kind . We aren't there enough to warrant making it where it won’t freeze . We hunt there a lot in the fall and football is Big deal to my family .

We used to tie a big intertube in the middle then cover. Then throw 1/2 filled milk jugs in top to make sure the wind didnt affect the cover possibly lifting up in the wind.

@TexChik my uncle just adds winter chemicals an air bag and cover and has had his pool for years. it gets near zero in the winter

I bet it does...I know in WI and here in MO it can blow also

@PTCdresser57 Feb is the worst with wind chills below zero. thank God it's the shortest month but always with the biggest heating bill

@saragoodtimes ok ... I’ll call the pool guys in Amarillo and ask them to “ winterize “ that thing .

Usually Dec and Jan here for wind and cold
