Ever wonder how Trump draws such numbers to his rallies?
Workers at the Pennsylvania petrochemical plant where President Donald Trump spoke Tuesday were told that if they didn't attend the event, they either had to use paid time off or receive no pay for the day.

At least some of the workers who attended the speech were instructed not to protest the President, who told the crowd of workers at the Royal Dutch Shell plant he would be imploring their union leaders to support his reelection.

The instructions to the workers came in a memo, a copy of which was obtained by CNN's Polo Sandoval from a congressional source. That source was given the memo by a person in Beaver County, Pennsylvania -- the site of the plant.
That's the only way Trump can get a crowd is to force them. He's becoming a dictator. Wake up America.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JeanAnna A solid majority of Americans are aware of his dictatorial aspirations. Trump will go down in flames in 2020.
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair He thinks the American people are stupid, but we're not...and he will go down in flames soon. With all the lies, corruption, siding with the white supremists, all the corruption, how anyone can still support him is beyond the pale.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@JeanAnna I only wish that were true. There are PLENTY of people who support him and sincerely. Disturbingly enough, many of them are well educated.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JeanAnna It is classic cult behavior. No different from following Jim Jones in Guyana and committing mass suicide. Many of his supporters are no longer reachable. But thank goodness the majority of Americans can see him for what he is, and they will vote in droves.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JoeyFoxx Some are well-educated, but Trump support correlates negatively with education level. The higher your level of education, the less likely you are to support Trump.
JeanAnna · F
@JoeyFoxx He's falling in the polls. We can only hope that those supporters will soon open their eyes to his idiocy.
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair I agree. He has insulted just about every person in one or the other. Just the other night at a rally he insulted a supporter about his weight...evidently he thought he was a protester. lol And he didn't even apologize to the guy. Trump is a hateful person who cares only about himself.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JeanAnna No matter the circumstances, it is always about Trump and his needs. Even after 22 people died in El Paso, he didn't bother to mention the dead while he was there or pay his respects, talking instead about the size of his crowd the last time he held an Adoration Event there.
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair I know, he was disgraceful. And just outside the hospital room he was joking around, how disrespectful. And when he was talking about the mass shooting in Dayton, he called it Toledo. That was a slap in the face of all Daytonians. He can't get anything straight. He's unfit to be president.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@JeanAnna
He's falling in the polls
His approval rating is still higher than on the day he was elected.

Don't believe the polls.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JeanAnna He's unfit in every way. And the sooner he is out of office and unable to continue the damage he is doing, the better.
JeanAnna · F
@JoeyFoxx You're right, he has never even hit 50%. That's terrible for a president who pats himself on the back every chance he gets and tells us how great he is. lol
JeanAnna · F
@windinhishair I agree 100%. He's ruining our country.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@JeanAnna
He's ruining our country.
He's not doing it alone.

Congress is helping him along every step of the way.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JoeyFoxx The aggregate polling numbers on Election Day 2016 were Clinton 48.5% and Trump 44.9%. The approval numbers right now are 42.1% approval and 53.4% disapproval. So he actually is a bit behind where he was on Election Day, and more importantly, the disapproval has held pretty steady throughout his presidency. He's the only president in history never to see an approval rating of 50% for a single day. The prognosis for a win in 2020 is poor.
JeanAnna · F
@JoeyFoxx Only the Senate with Mitch McConnell. McConnell is ignoring all the good things the House is trying to get passed
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@JeanAnna The House could be doing so much more. They don't want to.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JoeyFoxx What could the House be doing, since the Senate will not take up any legislation passed by the House with McConnell as Senate Majority Leader? I'm interested to hear what they can do by themselves to pass legislation.
JeanAnna · F
@JoeyFoxx They want to very much, but their hands are tied.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@windinhishair When the Democrats were in charge, all they did was railroad bills.

Democrats cannot cry victim when they play EXACTLY the same fucking game.

Congress has been the least productive in history over the past 10 years. It's embarassing
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JoeyFoxx I agree with you that Congress has been a massive failure. That's why congressional approval rightly sits at 8%. But your comment was on the current House and the additional steps they could take. What are they?
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@windinhishair The current House has done nothing to create bi-partisan bills on a consistent basis. They over-trumpet the exceptions to the rule, but continue to use their majority as a weapon.

They complain when the Republicans do it, but it's ok when they do it.

Simply put, they are inept.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JoeyFoxx Republicans obstructed the Obama Administration for the last six years of his presidency. That's one reason their approval rating is 8%.

The current House has passed many bills in this year alone. Far more than the Republicans did when they were in control. Infrastructure is one area where there should be bipartisan support. Where is McConnell helping bipartisan legislation get through?

So your "solution" is to have the Democratic House pass Republican legislation and all will be well. Not going to happen. There is room for bipartisan action, but the Senate has no interest and is actively stymieing House bills.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
Not what I said. @windinhishair
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JoeyFoxx This House has already passed many more bills than the republican-led obstructionist Houses that preceded them. There isn't much more they can do.
