Every country economy is leading toward one world government. U k cant even Brexit.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@REMsleep It's coming
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@Quizzical Brexit or One World Gov?
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@REMsleep Brexit
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@Quizzical Brexit first and then - unemployment and chaos.
NestChicken · 31-35, M
@REMsleep sensitive topic, but wasn’t the world government the goal of the Riech?
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@ThatMusgraveWoman I don't happen to agree
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@NestChicken I would imagine so. Nasty situations on the way.
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@Quizzical Do you think there won't be a Brexit? The politicians will see sense? I'd love to think so.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@ThatMusgraveWoman No, I think there will be a Brexit, and I think it will eventually lead to the dissolving of the gravy train that is the EU.

They don't want us to leave because Britain is one of the three economies propping the whole thing up. The other two being Germany and France. There are mutterings all across Europe, the citizens of many other countries are not happy with the way the EU does things and are eagerly watching to see how things go for us.

When we don't spiral into oblivion I'm pretty sure others will start to look at leaving too.

This has been like trying to get out of a controlling and abusive relationship. Even the language used has been the same.
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@Quizzical I think the opposite; job losses and less trade. Only time will tell of course. At worst, the UK will break up and there will be unemployment and blood on the streets.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@ThatMusgraveWoman Well, we were perfectly fine before the EU. It's just scaremongering.
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@Quizzical the world has changed a lot since then. Britain is a lot weaker - and two of the four nations of the UK voted to remain.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@ThatMusgraveWoman We voted as a block, not as separate nations.

As for being weaker, we have the fifth largest economy in the world.
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@Quizzical Indeed - but we are separate nations. That is a fact that cannot be ignored. And in the 60s we were the 2nd largest economy.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@ThatMusgraveWoman I don’t think there will be blood on the streets whatever happens. But the only thing that might possibly provoke it would be if Remainers succeeded in preventing the government from implementing the will of the people as expressed in the referendum and subsequently confirmed by Parliament.
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@MartinII I wonder if the Brexiteers would be in a majority now that more facts are known. I rather doubt it, however vociferous they are.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@ThatMusgraveWoman First, no more facts are known than were known in 2016. Various opinions and attitudes have gained force, which is a rather different matter. Second, Remainers are much more vociferous than Brexiteers. Third, all opinion polls and, more important, actual election results indicate that there has been no change in public opinion - the country is still split down the middle.
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@MartinII Certainly split down the middle, but some of the lies and exaggerations of Boris and his ilk have been exposed.
It is undoubtedly a split - all the four nations are divided, but while England has a more equal divide, Scotland and Northern Ireland were undoubtedly remainers.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@ThatMusgraveWoman I’m sorry, but I don’t think Johnson has told any lies (about politics, that is!). I’d be interested to hear of any examples.
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@MartinII The money paid to the NHS is the most glaring (or best known) example. His stories about being concerned about the union also do not tie-in with his previous behaviour towards Scotland.
kutee · T
@ThatMusgraveWoman england has 80% of the population most scots, welsh and irish live in england
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@kutee 800,000 Scots in England - 5 million in Scotland. 500,000 English live in Scotland (10% of Scottish population); Northern Ireland has more emigrants in Scotland than in England; Wales is crammed with emigrant English.
kutee · T
@ThatMusgraveWoman oh come on, 50 million people live in england inlondon oyu cant move for people,in glasgow oyu can cross the road without looking
ThatMusgraveWoman · 70-79, F
@kutee I think it's more like 60 million in England than 50 million. Could you explain the relevance (and meaning) of your post?
