There's a difference between concentration camps and extermination camps.
I'm pretty sure we haven't really gotten into the latter, at least yet.
If I remember right, it took the Nazis about 9 years of pussy footing around with relocation centers and work camps before really getting efficient.
Unless Trump wins again in 2020, at a minimum, I think we're not even going to see real work camps, and true death camps would probably require even more time to acclimate Americans to.
