Are u in favor of kids having bulletproof backpacks ?

Have you heard about these. Its so sad that we have come to this place here in America.
What do you think. They are expensive, but they are worth it.

At first, its going to be only for the rich kids, but eventually, I suppose the issue of whether equal access to and government subsidy of body armor ought to come up.

@MistyCee OR....

let's have the gun manufacturers fund subsidies for kids that can't afford them... since they are so against gun regulations.
@JoeyFoxx There is something to be said for treating the gun industry like the tobacco industry, I suppose.

@MistyCee I was being sarcastic... but maybe there's something to this.

If the gun manufacturer's were required to fund public education about gun safety and proper registration...

The problem is that cigarette smokers deal with additions whereas extreme gun owners are concerned with government conspiracy theories.
@JoeyFoxx If you got that passed sensible gun laws would happen in a matter of weeks because it would affect the bottom line of the gun manufacturers. They can afford to help stonewall now because they have zero skin in the game for making the country safer and arguably profit from the chaos.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Interestingly, I still think this is one situation where Trump's supposed skills and background could actually be put to good use, if he was genuine interested in doing anything.

You'd think Gun Manufacturers and their ilk might be more receptive to strong arm tactics and threats than politicians, and Trump taking credit for some kind of gun control thing might actually get him votes outside of his base.

My guess is, no one really trusts him enough to cut a deal with him anymore, but this seems like a better chance for him than anything else I can think of.
