I wonder how conservatives will treat the next liberal president after witnessing liberals trashing trump so vehemently and ruthlessly....

I hope they don’t act surprised or shocked whenever their next candidate is blocked at every turn and challenged at every step.. will they accept that it was them who set the precedent on how to treat a politician you don’t agree with?
Not my president, right?

Republicans set the precedent for obstruction when Obama was president.Democrats will know exactly what is going to happen because they lived it for 8 years already.

Wouldn't they just say that conservatives set the precedent with Obama? In fact, wouldn't each side just keep blaming the other side for all eternity? 🤔

@SW-User well it’s been my opinion that obstruction hasn’t been this glaring in the past.... considering Obama was challenged for much of his time by republican controlled house and senate...

But I can see how people could argue that it’s always existed..... I’ve never seen it nearly this bad

we did NOT set the precedent. the ugly has been coming for years. stop blaming trump for that.
I'm sure you're right that things will get nastier. They've been getting worse since Gingrich and Clinton, but Trump, IMO, really is a de novo kind of thing, who challenges the "establishment" in all kinds of ways and not just the other party.

Even Cruz, who's by all accounts a real jerk, wouldn't have drawn the kind of fierce obstruction Trump has.

The beard is a good look for Cruz, right? @MistyCee
@jackjjackson I do think it helps a little.

They will never stoop as low as the dumtards.

You’re right. The chickens will come home to roost for the next dem President. How apt.
