Which nations will accept refugees from America?

When the refugees (mostly educated families at first) start leaving the United States, looking for safety and a civilised life, will your country allow them in?

The UK allowed thousands in after the 1776-1783 War. Many were from the maritime states who knew their economy would be bumpy after indepedence. Others flooded into Canada, much to that nation's benefit. As long as we ensure the hooks, crooks, bottlewashers and gun-toting lunatics don't come, we should be fine.

@ThatMusgraveWoman Interesting bit from my family history: some of my mother’s family were English colonists who sided with the King in the American Revolution. They ended up in Canada. Too bad my adventurer great-grandfather came back to the U.S. I could have been Canadian! 🙁

@SmartKat Both are great countries - and it's not too late to emigrate to Canada!

@ThatMusgraveWoman I loved America the way it used to be. If it could go back to the way it was, I wouldn’t want to leave.

@SmartKat I cannot comment really. The times I've visited, I've found the people very hospitable, but I have not been over for a few years. I would not like to think that it has fundamentally changed. There is far too much good in the United States for it to go downhill.
