If President Trump were to be impeached tomorrow, Would they still hold the upcoming 2020 election?

Someone please explain this one to me with cliff notes if possible...I'm no politician and generally try to avoid anything politically related. But as this seems to be a bit of a talking point lately, I need this bit of the election process explained.

If Pres Trump were to be impeached now-ish, would they still hold an election in 2020, or would the VP simply finish out the term until 2024?

The VP would finish this term and then the 2020 elections would go on as usual.

@SW-User Gotchya thanks. I thought it was something more like that I just didn't know if the timing would affect any of the process, what with us being so close to the next election and all.
