Strom Thurmond, carried out a 24 hour filibuster, in 1957, to prevent the passage of the Civil Rights Act.

Why would I be making statements about Trump? He supplies all the material. Start with his efforts to block black residents from renting in his family's apartment buildings, in the 1970s.
