@quitwhendone I'm inclined to agree, they are definitely weapons of war and should be banned outright. However I can't deny that others have these weapons and it great number, and with the current political climate I think it's better to have progressives armed and lethal as opposed to being defenseless. Until the federal government steps up (until we remove republican political corruption) I must protect myself. And so an AR-47 it is.

@Sarin I understand your concern about those groups but I think you are over-reacting. If those groups start attacking people, our police departments and FBI will protect us.

@quitwhendone Too many members of law enforcement sympathize with right wing extremists, quite frankly I don't trust cops. Not at all cops are bad people though. I think what bothers me the most is the assumption that if there were confrontation and conflict the "right" would out gun the left. The thought of that makes me uncomfortable. I support a ban, but until then I'll have my sword ready to roll. I think Malcom X had it right.
