Does someone want to explain the actual definition of a "liberal"?

A society will end up having individuals and groups that aren鈥檛 the norm or good at what the collective society has established as its value system. Those disenfranchised groups will, therefore, be vulnerable to discrimination and lack of access opportunities and services. Enter liberals to compel society to see that these individuals/groups deserve the same rights and respect as any citizen.
