Are you sitting for this? Texas governor signs 'Save Chick-fil-A' bill.

I thought this was a joke so naturally, I did my research. It's really not difficult to do, conservatives.

Yes, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed the so-called Save Chick-fil-A bill into law on Thursday.

Welcome to trump’s America, where the poor are maligned, Congresswomen are discriminated against, climate change is denied, and chicken sandwiches are protected. Good job! Be proud, Republicans.

The Republicans will literally go to painstaking efforts to save chicken consumable products faster than they will save kids in cages.

That's your pro-life party.

Enjoy your time at church today, conservatives.

For some reason a lot of people haven’t mentioned one of the other major reasons this happened - these restaurants aren’t open on Sundays.

You can’t have that nonsense in an airport, it’s one of the busiest travel days of the week.

@QuixoticSoul God forbid If you close your business one day a week
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@MarineBob That’s fine if you own the location. Do whatever the fuck you want.

It’s a hell of a mark against you if you’re trying to open a franchise in an airport, though. Or even a mall.

The left dances around calling it out for what it really is but It all boils down to another attack against Christianity and Christian businesses. It’s just the way things roll in the era we are living in. They don’t realize how foolish they are.@MarineBob

@SteveAt24 maybe the airport doesn't need to be funded by the taxpayers if th they want to make their own rules, make every shop restaurant bar and vendor be open 24/7
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@QuixoticSoul Yeah right🙄. It's not like there are any other restaurants available. There are plenty of ChikFila restaurants in malls, they just aren't open on Sunday. Plenty of other options abound. Stop making shit up.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@SumKindaMunster be a man and fire up a grill every Sunday
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@MarineBob It’s an airport lmao, you travel with a grill? 😂

It *is* a tax-payer funded airport, and while there are enough downtimes not to mandate 24/7 operation, not generating revenue for the city during one of the two busiest days in the week is a problem.

I travelled through a few different countries this past Sunday - not a single closed up restaurant.

Yeah, totally.

Hey, if you owned a retail space that was open 7 days a week and you wrote in your lease agreement that retail was expected to be open during every operating hour, you'd be totally fine with it if a restaurant affiliated with the Satanic Temple wanted to subvert the agreement via a religious exemption, right?
GoldenWorm · 51-55, M
@SteveAt24 airport contract includes 7 days open. They are breaching the deal they agreed to.

Having xtians follow the same laws as everyone else is lawful not antixtian
EnigmaticGeek · 61-69, M
@GoldenWorm Have you actually read the lease agreement Chick-fil-A signed?
EnigmaticGeek · 61-69, M
@QuixoticSoul Not having one, or even any restaurants open in an airport on Sunday won't affect air travel at all.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@EnigmaticGeek as for me I am happy spending Sunday dinners with family, most folks don't realize that just not very many years ago no one was opened on Sunday and holidays
EnigmaticGeek · 61-69, M
@MarineBob I'm old enough to remember almost nothing but churches being open on Sundays.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@EnigmaticGeek It affects the money coming into the city coffers.

@MarineBob Holy shit man, why are you bringing up grilling, family dinners, etc in context of a restaurant in a bloody airport - and a major hub one at that.
EnigmaticGeek · 61-69, M
@QuixoticSoul How does Chick-fil-A negatively affect money coming into city coffers by being closed on Sundays, when their per restaurant gross sales exceeds all other quick serve restaurants by more than 33%?
