What are your thoughts on Black Lives Matter?

Does Black Lives Matter benefit the black community and educate other communities? Or do you think they look the other way to serious issues such as the ever growing problem that is black on black crime?

I think they focus too much on police brutality against African-Americans, and they don’t try to fix issues within their own community (black on black crime as you said).
I like the intention of the movement, but they also shouldn’t generalize themselves by claiming they’re ALL victims, nor should they ignore the issues within their own community

@AnonymousJSS Of course they focus on police brutality - that is the whole point of the group. And it’s ok to be single-issue oriented, trying to do everything leads to paralysis - especially when the issues are relatively unrelated.

There are groups trying to alleviate poverty and crime in black communities, BLM is just not one of them.
