Yes, I didn't like either. Let me edit this. I didn't want a third option, there were 4 or 5 on the ballot. I just wish we had two better options that had realistic chances of winning. I believe we elected the best that was available come election time.
Both major political parties failed. I know we could have done better. No third party splinter group has ever captured the interest of the American Public enough to do anything but splinter one party or the other's vote. Not even Teddy Roosevelt and his upstart Bull Moose Party could pull it off. He was arguably one of the finest presidents this nation ever had.
