In the 2016 election, did you want a third option?

I voted for the 3rd option: Gary Johnson.

When he had his Aleppo gaffe, my heart sank. There was a brief window and a wide lane, and he blew it. Plus, he deferred to Weld far too often. It got to the point where it seemed like the ticket should have been flipped. I voted for him anyway, because I wanted to make that statement and not vote for the other two untenable options. @EnigmaticGeek

@SW-User Everything you said also applies to me. I really wish Johnson had been better informed on what was then a current event--even I knew about Aleppo at the time. LOL

If you recall, this was the morning after the GOP debate that was focused on foreign policy. (It turned into a typical Trump-driven toddleresque food fight, of course.). It was inexcusable for Johnson to be so ill-prepared on foreign policy for a live national interview on that morning especially. He had a remote chance if he caught fire, because plenty of people were looking for anyone other than the inept man-child and the coronated queen of the DNC. I don’t think we’ll ever see a better window for a third party to be vaulted into the mainstream. @EnigmaticGeek

@SW-User We may not. I still miss Ross Perot RIP. Voted for him, too, way back when.

The GOP and Democrats have a stranglehold on the debate commission, so even if a future 3rd party candidate gains traction, those two have colluded to make sure those candidates and those ideas remain shut out. @EnigmaticGeek

@SW-User I know, and they call the PRC a totalitarian society...

This country has more political theater than reality news-wise.
