The Mexican Flag and a damaged "Blue Lives Matter" American flag were flown at an ICE Facility in Aurora, Colorado by Protesters.

My input:

The country has been divided as far as how to deal with illegal immigration. I don't think this act of protest will help the protester's cause. It will draw attention but I believe most of it will be negative.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

Will this message be well received?

Was this really necessary?

Protesting against the actions of our government is one of our mkst cherished civil rights as outlined in the first amendment, of course it was necessary.

SerenitiesScars · 31-35, M
@NativeOregonian 👀 I’m sure you were on the Trump coffee misspelling hype train so didn’t even try you racist loser 👀
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@SerenitiesScars And how would I be racist, hmmm?
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian Is it necessary to deface government property?
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy We are the government's boss and taxpayers, so we technically own that property.
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian For sure, but how was vandalizing it necessary?
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy Ask the protestors, they obviously had their reasons why, I cannot speculate as to why.
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian I'm just following your own reply...... I'm puzzled as to how the defacement of - as you correctly pointed out, is our property - was deemed necessary, as a matter of course.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy If the protesters feel the need to do what they did with the flags, that is their Constitutional right to do so.
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian Feeling what's needed is different than what is truly necessary, one would conclude. I'm still failing to see how you believe their vandalism was necessary.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy A flag is just a piece of cloth with over exaggerated importance when compared to how human beings are being abused within that facility.
@NativeOregonian How many of our troops died defending that flag? It's
more than a piece of a cloth ass hole.
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian Still don't see how it's necessary to do so, as you claimed......

But beyond that, how does raising the flag of the country most of those human beings are escaping from clarify the protesters' concerns?
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy Ask them, I do not know why they did.
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian Because it just seems to me that such a bold act of treason would be rendered moot, if the colors chosen to replace the domestic nation's emblem - on its own citizens' property, as you rightly pointed out - were in fact those of the country the people in the facility are intended to be deported to!

So, do you see why I'm not grasping how you can call their actions necessary? It isn't adding up, in my mind.......
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy Putting up another country's flag up in protest of solidarity is not treason, taking up arms against your country is. Your mama feed you paint chips growing up?
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian I'm certainly no expert, but replacing a sovereign nation's colors seems like a declaration of aggression - even if it is a "protest of solidarity" - ???????

And I'm still failing to see how you arrived at said offenses being necessary.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy Give it up, you obviously lack the brains to understand anything.
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian Let's presume that to be true, for the nonce. Okay? ......So, as one who is caring, concerned, and compassionate for the well-being of his fellow humans, explain to me - as someone incapable of comprehending complex issues - how you determined that the actions and symbolism of the protesters was necessary, as a matter of course. That's all I really want to know!
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@fancyboy I told you several different ways already and you refused to acknowledge what I said, so therefore I will no longer answer from here on out. Dismissed.
fancyboy · 61-69, M
@NativeOregonian I'll grant that you stressed thoroughly that you believed their vandalism is protected by our constitution. But I'm not getting how you concluded that what they (the protesters) did on - and again, I'm using your term - technically, your property, was necessary. I'd dearly love to hear how you arrived at that!
