What would Abraham Lincoln do?

A couple of quotes for people to consider.
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

"A house divided against itself cannot stand."
Now Abe wasnt perfect. But I cant think of many Presidents who will be as often quoted 150 years after their time as he is.

"Hey honey, lets go to the theatre"

See, not everything he said was clever.

I don't know what the reason was, but I do remember seeing somewhere that his secretary (whose last name was Kennedy) advised him not to go to the theater. But he went, anyway.
