@MethDozer He was definitely charismatic. I remember watching him with the flip charts and thinking he was reasonable and decent man. I read one article about him where they had tried to dig up dirt, and all they could find is when he was in the Navy, he complained about the other sailors swearing, but that was it.

His opposition to trade deals and immigration was over 20 years before Trump made those issues the centerpiece of his campaign, but I never got the idea that Perot hated immigrants.
