Trump, faced with a Supreme Court decision, banning him from asking, for political reasons, 2020 census participants, if they're US citizens.
He wants to delay, indefinitely, until he gets a favorable decision from SCOTUS, which means, he will be waiting for RBG to die, while he's in office.
The Constitution requires a census.

I am going to guess his supporters are not going to see a Constitutional problem with this, after all, it does not touch the Second Amendment.
