@NativeOregonian There are two types of disgusting people when it comes to view on race or minority groups. 1. the outright racist 2. those pretending that to disagree with your opinion to be against a minority group, using a minority as a human shield for your agenda.

Both are despicable positions to hold.

@NativeOregonian Yeah I wouldn't like that either, and I also don't like opportunists more than happy to use your suffering to push an agenda. And who will also pretend that those who challenge their manipulation are racist.

@cunningcrocodile Both my Dad and Grandfather marched in the Civil Rights marches in Portland in the 60's. I grew up being taught to be mindful of minorities and others.

@NativeOregonian That's great. And it's people who throw around the word 'racist' and "nazi" every five minutes against anyone they don't like that trivialise true suffering.

@cunningcrocodile Indeed, that is true. However, I will call someone out that makes the appearance of any kind of outright hate, I see red.

@cunningcrocodile Have you ever heard of Jane Elliot? She has been lecturing on hate since 1968, starting with her elementary school classroom in north central Iowa.

@NativeOregonian And that's fair enough. But to a lot of us, it's reached a point where the initial reaction would be to assume they are crying wolf. When it gets to the point that they call non whites white supremacists, gay people homophobes, jews nazis etc.

@cunningcrocodile I grew up in iowa during the 80's, from 10 to 18, and I had seen the klan close up, many of my neighbors were members. They claimed to be pious god loving xtians, but once a minority family moved into town, they were right there in hoods and robes telling them to get out of town. The worst thing was that one of the towns I lived in had a lutheran college.
