As much as I like listening to the sound of my own voice, figuring out other people's worldview is pretty fun as long as they're not just generic and boring. I'd say I can consider other people's perspectives well, but I don't always really respect them. I pretend though, to avoid getting into arguments.

@BlueVeins why pretend? Isn't that being inauthentic? You can reject someone's perspective without being disrespectful. You can never control how people respond to things. I keep things 100% if only for my sake.

@TheunderdogofNY You can't always do that because a lot of people (particularly where I live) consider rejecting their perspective to be disrespectful. One can usually tell who these people are before they detonate -- best to just go with the flow if you're not in a position to have a debate.

@BlueVeins I definitely feel what you're saying. But me being a man and a war veteran not much bothers me.
If someone feels disrespected I can't do shit about it especially if I'm keeping things cordial and respectful. I'll just walk away as they shout their feelings to my back. No love lost.

@TheunderdogofNY Yeah, I just don't normally find myself in situations where that's feasible. If it's just a random person on the street or whatever, that strategy is great, but I can't see it having good results for coworkers and family members.
