The mainstream media in the USA is either liberal or conservative..
There are no non biased main stream news sources left..
And [i]all[/i] media is now inflammatory and sensationalist by design..

There was a time when we didn't need to fact check everything in the news for accuracy and context..

@SW-User Sorry but I just don't think that's true. As a matter of fact, I contend that there's way more 'truthful' media today than in the past. Competition has made that so. It was much easier to control messaging in the "good 'ol days." Today writers are really under the gun to get it right because they know if they don't it will be exposed.
The difference today is that you have to weed out the nonsense and understand where facts start and opinion begins. But given that you mentioned fact checking I have a feeling you know that already.
