Substitute 'non-mainstream media' instead and you're on the money.

@RodionRomanovitch I suppose in truth it could work both ways. It depends...

@Wraithorn
mainstream
noun
1.
the ideas, attitudes, or activities that are shared by most people and regarded as normal or conventional.
It makes me wince the way the word is now used perjoratively. Things are usually considered mainstream because they are likely , and often demonstrably , true. In the same way that things outside of the mainstream are there for a reason. And the reason is usually that they are not proven , demonstrably false , or else simply conspiracy theories promoted for political gain. There's your real 'fake news' right there , and without it that idiot Trump would probably not be in the White House today.

@RodionRomanovitch Peza I've seen many news reports by "mainstream" media that are simply manipulative reporting without any proof.
In the USA I see half the media on Trump's side and half against him. They all seem to agree on US foreign policy of endless intervention in other countries though. They often report only half the truth because it suits the agenda if their sponsors.
There are very few if any news channels just providing truthful reporting without an agenda.

@Wraithorn Then don't you just go instead to respected news outlets without bias and with a tradition of independent reporting ?
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@RodionRomanovitch I like to keep an eye on many. Reuters is good ,yes. I won't give them all my trust though.

@Wraithorn The Chinese have a very good saying ; " Don't believe anything until your government denies it." 🧐
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@RodionRomanovitch Lol. Respec' to the Chinese.
