If Obama did such a stand up job during his eight year regime, why did Trump come out of obscurity to take over running the U.S.?

That was suppose to be the decline into economic mediocrity. Remember Obama's "new normal" and "magic wand" comments. We weren't supposed to recover. But voters didn't play along. Primarily blue collar voters, which is why the left has turned on them so hard.
