If governments were truly interested in helping the people...?

Would it look like it does today?

No, it wouldn't be so deeply capitalist in nature if that were the case. It is currently catered toward helping individuals, the collective is a non-factor. Until we get beyond capitalistic limitations, that's how it's always going to be.

@UndeadPrivateer does it really work to help the individual? .-.

If each individual was given helo, wouldn't all be helped?
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User Sure, but that doesn't work in a system that operates purely capitalistically. There is no direct financial drive to helping others, so it is dis-incentivized. All gains from helping others are purely social in nature, not capital.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer darn greediness >:v

And hey, there is, considering we are part of a government ._.

Stronger communities present stronger financial return in terms of taxes and developmemt on a social level. These are strong factors that can easily translate to GDP positives .-.

Helping others gives back to EVERYONE if EVERYONE was helping :D
Sadly, the effects of one person being helpful is rather infinitesimal and so is that little bit of greed ._.
So I get it now

You're right :v
Benefits are only social as of now

@SW-User There are systems to try and rectify this, things like welfare and charities, but those are innately socialist ideas. Not capitalist ones. And they are far from sufficient to fix the problems we're facing. I don't know what is, but it sure isn't just rampant capitalistic exploitation like we're doing right now.

@UndeadPrivateer maybe if misappropriation wasn't done by those sworn to protect and serve us, we'd have a better nation .-.
Cuz we're getting milked of money
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User That's the problem, the main drive in our society is to attain as much money as possible. And the way that the politicians, who run our society, can do that is by acquiescing to the demands of people who are willing to give them the most money. It's a problem you really can't get around very easily, at least I don't see anything in the way of simple solutions for it.

@UndeadPrivateer 🤔
Yeah, so I guess money does talk, then

I think it's rather alarming that the top 1% of the top 1% own over 50% of the U.S.' wealth, though
At some point, this call for serving the highest bidder is going to end up becoming a literally abysmal situation in which forced wealth redistribution may be required

Apart from that, I hope we can figure something out, soon .-.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User We're already at that point, if you ask me. The statistics are real fucking grim. 😅
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer ;-;
....

Where the hell have I been??

...

Well, I guess we can consider this a project 🤔
By the way, I finally got a response from IBM last year. I forgot to tell you that the quantum computer was closed to public code queue submissions for maintainance so I can't do that little comparison I told you I wanted to do until they re-open it ;-;
I never checked back on it

But I also thought about it and realized that I dunno what kinda architecture or organization for the OS or digital logic is on the computer, or the specs .-.
So that random number generation progran is kinda illogical to go through with
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User At least you tried, that counts for something. 👌
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer hey, anything for a friend. It doesn't even need to count for me to do it
