When do we get to see President Trump's past tax statements?

@JarJarBoom His tax returns per se will not..........but if they show financial ties to Russia--Putin-----it sure would explain why he makes decisions that benefit Russia and hurts us. Tariffs that hurt our farmers but Russia rushes in to grab up Chinese grain and hog contracts--for instance. Why did ONLY Russia want the Trans Pacific Trade Deal eliminated---out of all of the countries that were in it---and then Trump ended it? Syria. Yemen. Lots of other examples.

@anythingoes477 I don't think his personal tax returns will show any ties to Russia, any person dealing with that will know its best not to leave a paper trail. In my opinion, I think he does a lot of favors for Russia and his latest decisions regarding Tariffs isn't really helping the economy either. Its sort of maddening when they make an announcement about the tariffs and people are like "thats ok, I'll just buy american"...ok..we all aren't freaking rich.

@JarJarBoom The tariff proposed with Mexico is to get them to stop the train of immigrants headed to our border. They give them free passage. Since congress will not act, he has the authority to levy tariffs on anyone he wants. The tariffs with China are long over due. China is a bad actor but they desperately need access to American consumers or their economy, which is much smaller than ours, will suffer severely.And...As has been born out, there is no Trump/Russia anything.

@JarJarBoom It costs China Billions more now to sell goods in the United states. We collect the tariffs from them or they don't get to unload their cargo ships...Same with Mexico. Once they pay the tariffs, then they can bring their products into the US. The thing is they raise their prices to try and offset the tariff , but that forces consumers to not buy or buy from someone else with lower prices.

@TexChik China and Mexico doesn't pay the tariffs tho...The American companies who are importing do.

American companies who employ American people pay for those tariffs. In turn the products they manufacturer cost more to produce and then that product gets passed down to the consumer.

@JarJarBoom China and Mexico import directly and the tariffs are collected at the ports...Only after they pay do they get to off load their products

@JarJarBoom American companies in China took that risk when they chose to move over seas. There was no guarantee .

@TexChik If feels like an unnecessary tactic that will end up hurting American businesses. Things that are produced in this country still need to get their supplies overseas.

@JarJarBoom yes Mexico and China..have to pay us to be allowed to sell their stuff here. So they raise their prices to American companies that buy their products . The American companies then raise their price to American consumers to offset the higher price from the supplier.

@JarJarBoom China has been screwing us for $500 billion a year with unfair trade practices, and stealing our intellectual property. Trump is only asking for even trade...China is the one that doesn't want to do that. They will capitulate. The fed just said yesterday that they will ease controls (interest rates) to offset and Tariffs. Its important to get that done. Mexico has got to step up and stop the drug trade across our border, and the human trafficking, as well as the illegal immigration. If they don't, they cant survive not having access to American consumers or having the border with the US closed. Both will happen since the democrat house refuses to act to stop illegal immigration.

@TexChik I don't see how taxing american businesses for importing good is going to stop people from illegally entering this country. Most of illegal immigration is majority of expired visas more than border jumpers.

@TexChik The proposed tariff increase to increase monthly on Mexico will Not prevent people from immigrating from "Shit hole countries" to the US because the reason why they are leaving their home countries is they Are "Shit hole countries". Mexico is Not sending us "all Their worst people."
