What have you learned about America from the trump presidency?

I’ve learned that most, not all, of the Republican Party put their interests ahead of the US constitution and welfare of all Americans.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought so many of my fellow Americans, let alone PEOPLE I THOUGHT I KNEW, would endorse and blindly continue to defend a corrupt, sick man and a party- which has become a haven for right-wing extremists, pedophiles, rapists...

I realize now how bigotry is at the core of our country’s brokenness, and how religion is weaponized to allow bigotry to flourish. It's scary just how much influence religion has on policy, that it's growing, and how a complete fraud like trump can play on those beliefs despite not having a religious bone in his body.

I knew there was ongoing virulent racism, but I don't/can't believe the majority of people think this way. They are just more hatefully loud and aggressive than those of us who want Democracy and a unified, peaceful country. I fear we are too disbelieving of what's going on and not enough action.

The bigotry, and the profound depths of racism is alive and well in America. The disparities are endless and institutional. The electoral college was literally established so slave owners got more votes.

Should we be grateful that trump brought this to the surface? We can’t ever go back now. The hatred is really fear. Fear drives most folks unfortunately. It's so much more peaceful to be in acceptance. That’s true freedom.

I'd rather have Trump than the Democrats pushing their socialist agenda. We've all heard accusation after accusation of racism and fascism and many phobias with zero evidence. I think people like you just need to move on.
@xRedx Keep thinking "innocent". Mueller never found him innocent of anything---and said so in the report. But even at that........pretend Mueller never existed------there are still 16 other investigations going on----at once----into this crime family. State investigations and indictments--Federal ones--and an unspecified number of sealed indictments for sexual assault and rape of a minor waiting for him in the 8th Eastern District Court--and the 9th District. New York State--the IRS. Trump found a stoolie to lie about one investigation's findings but he is still scared shitless to let go of the full report to congress so the truth is really known. Anyone "innocent" would not refuse to let the full truth out. Why would an innocent man fight so hard---for so long----need so many legal teams---just to keep the truth from coming out---if he's absolutely innocent? Don't any of you all EVER think-----ever wonder about anything???? In what world does an innocent man fight to hide the evidence that proves he's innocent???

@anythingoes477 Give me concrete evidence or don't give me anything at all. If Trump is found guilty of anything illegal, I'll be supporting impeachment. For any president really, not just Trump. But all I've been hearing are snowflakes like you arguing and complaining.
@xRedx No one is complaining.......other than the ones that keep complaining that investigations should stop------and complaining the legal system keeps asking for evidence to be seen that they do not want to produce. What innocent man fights this hard to make sure no one can see the proof he's completely, truly innocent?????????
