This is a bit a false paradigm. People, including politicians, should stick to there deeply held beliefs. That doesn't mean doing so in dogmatic ways that preclude any possibility of changing those beliefs. And compromise can happen within the confines of competing beliefs.
@Sicarium because if someone asks you if you prefer apples or oranges and you respond with "nihilism" it means you didnt really grasp what the intention of the question was.

Look, I'm not really interested in meaningless arguments. I commented. If you don't like it, whatever. If you want an actual discussion on the topic, cool. But if you're just going to argue about whether I'm allowed to expand on a question in a response, I'm never going to agree with you so there's no point.
