Americans, do you support military intervention in Iran?

If you do, please explain under what circumstances you would see it as acceptable and what you think it would achieve.

I'm afraid we will have no say in the matter.

Over the weekend, the justification was provided. It seems as if 4 vessels, 2 Saudi, 1 Emirati and one Scandinavian, were "damaged" in a sabotage act, in the waters of the Gulf. The damage seems to be superficial, but the GCC countries, and the "Bolton" channel, immediately started sending out "Gulf of Tonkin" vibes.

All it's going to take, is one drunken Iranian passer-by, and it's going to explode into a full blown war.

This was inevitable, the moment General McMaster was replaced by Jon Bolton. I am wondering when Trump's voters will wake up and smell Iraq War, you know, the thing they voted for Trump to get us out of.

Bolton is very open about his goal: forceful regime change. We have not learned a single thing from our regime change experience in Iraq.

Why would this even matter? Isn't the truth what matters?

I don't know what this URL is supposed to prove. Iran signed a deal with the US and several other nations. We pulled out of that deal, and imposed crushing sanctions on them.

So far, Iran has yet to restart its nuclear program, because they think they can still work with the Europeans. AlJazeera used to have some integrity, but it's now a cheap rag, that's the mouthpiece of the much changed Qatari rulers. If I wanted to know what Aljazeera wants to say, I read the Arabic version http://aljazeera.net.

Our issues with Iran did not start with the hostages. It goes back to when we organized a coup, that deposed the democratically elected Prime Minister, in 1953, and forced the Shah to come back, and rule much the same way a Stalin does.

It also looks like we have not had enough payback, what with pushing Saddam into a war with Iran, that killed millions. We armed him, gave him satellite imagery, targeting information, logistics support, everything he needed to target civilians with his missiles.

Yet, and even after all that, the general street feeling in Iran is pro USA, and anti Mullahs. So, why don't we go ahead, and push them back into the abyss.
