Is war with Iran part of Trump's re-election strategy ?

It's an option.

Despite his campaign promises to the contrary, he's executing a neocon strategy, on steroids.

He has given Iran, and the "region's" countries, that do not fall under Sunni Islam's dictatorship/royal banner, a simple choice: go back to the way things were immediately following WWII, or your regimes will be turned over to people who will accept it.

We may thing that Trump is a bully, but that's because we were not alive right after WWII, when we thought of that part of the world, as a source of oil, and the people were disposable.

All that human rights talk? bullshit and feeds his base's Islamophobia.

What Pompeo did, a couple of days ago, is go to Iraq, to remind them that we can fuck them up pretty good, if they supported Iran, in the upcoming confrontation.

Iran is key, because it's the only country, that can lend Palestinians support, when the Kushner, aka Trump family graft plan, AKA, the Middle East Peace Plan, is put into motion. I read some additional details, in a pro-Trump Israeli paper, a few days ago, and these folks are ecstatic.

@Northwest The thing is though , Kushner's 'greatest deal' is going to be dead on arrival. There is simply no way the Palestinians are going to have anything to do with it whatsoever. So what happens next .... with Israeli and Saudi support are they simply going to impose it uopn them ? Some Arab nations who have been susceptible to US bribery thus far aren't going to wear that , surely ?

And where exactly does the administration see this frightening escalation with Iran ending up ? Are they really prepared to start another war in the region when they are still involved in three others or do they somehow think that Iran is just going to lie down and suddenly acquiesce to all their demands , whatever they are ... because I'm not entirely sure what they are ; surrender , regime change .... what ?

This whole thing is just some kind of fantasy and it it will end in disaster more likely than not.

@RodionRomanovitch Were any of these presumptions different, when we started the war with Iraq? You can play around with some of the names, or specifics, but the 75K foot view, remains the same. Yet, we did go to war, and we ended up with a disaster, with a bonus of turning Europe back toward Nationalism (and the US, and Australia).

Shit happens. I am hoping though, that he will not get it past Congress. Though a "Gulf on Tonkin" scenario is always a possibility, even if all eyes are on you. I'm sure some idiotic Mullah, with enough provocation, can gift wrap it for Trump and the neocons.
