A balanced viewpoint on Trump

I thought I’d create an opportunity for all those with a negative view on Trump to try to present a balanced opinion on him. All these hateful messages will never get anyone to change their mind, so if you post something, try and think of something positive to post and something negative, just one of each, with no name calling!

During his campaign he showed he was very adept at winning over neglected voters. To his and his campaign manager's credit, they were able to identify and promote ideas that motivated supporters to get to the polls. It's unfortunate that he turned out to be about what I expected.

That’s a good point, and very fair considering your not a fan - what’s the one thing you’d highlight that you haven’t liked about his presidency? @Wendy33

@Chrisy1 I expected him to show clear signs of grandiose narcissism and he fulfilled that expectation very easily with just his twitter posts and boasting untrue numbers for his crowds. His refusal to accept findings about climate change that climate scientist have a high consensus about disturbs me. What is portrayed in media to demonize him isn't what makes me uneasy. The wall he so proudly displays as a success is merely a distraction to the fact that we have a complete amateur in office with high amounts of both insecurities and arrogance.

I like your answer there, I especially agree with your point on climate change, America should be leading the way on this, instead their not even in the same ball game as more modest countries who can ill afford to combat such challenges. @Wendy33

@Chrisy1 I was chatting with someone I respect when he told me that the Earth isn't in danger due to climate change, we are. The best solution for life on this planet is the removal of our species. Of course I and everyone here has a vested interest in not allowing that to happen.

Yeah that’s a great point - us being the ones at risk. I wonder what it’ll take for countries like the US to drastically change their policies towards climate change?@Wendy33

@Chrisy1 I don't think it will happen with our current administration. The gross level of misinformation and ignorance I've run into on this subject has been staggering. Trump is just like us in that respect.

A lot of people need to be absolutely convinced prior to taking action, hopefully people will change over time, hopefully not too much time!! @Wendy33
