How can we succeed with having separate nations?

Do you believe one nation would be the only ultimate resolution?

Let's see ... power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

So...only one nation in power with no other options.

Sure. That sounds like a perfect solution.

@Mamapolo2016 I said nothing of absolute power. It would be run on stewardship. They would be rewarded based on how well they benefited the whole.
@JovialPlutonian Who would keep them honest and how?

@Mamapolo2016 the ppl would vote them in, if they did a bad job they'd be asked to step down as they aren't ideal for the role, their dignity would not be lost like how we condemn our politicians, hence why they cling onto their positions.
@JovialPlutonian I don't think they hang on to their positions to save dignity. They hang on because of power and financial gain. It has always been true and never truer than it is now.

If there was a way to prevent that, while I am highly skeptical about one centralized power on earth, I'd seriously consider it.

But why don't charitable contributions reach those they're intended for? - because of the people in power.

Such a scenario assumes everyone on earth has the same goals - and that's not the facts.

@Mamapolo2016 if we were educated on what truly serves us we'd all choose the same thing because what serves one serves another, we are the same in that sense, it is universal.
@JovialPlutonian That's pretty, but it's not true. What serves some of us is to have money and power. What serves others is to have a peaceful life where they have enough to live simply but comfortably.

"Educating"' people leads to things lije education camps where those who do not toe the societal line are forced to comply or be imprisoned.

This is a scary scenario.

@Mamapolo2016 calling ourselves victims only enables us not to take responsibility for putting despots in power. Remember, we allow them to be in power because we don't stop them.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Mamapolo2016 they think that's what serves them based on their lack of awareness.

@Mamapolo2016 it's like you're saying a highly evolved society is impossible, that's only cynicism.
@JovialPlutonian When did I call myself a victim? I don't consider myself a victim.

The simple truth is when people rise to power (nearly without exception) one of the first things they do is set up conditions where they can STAY in power. (Who makes the rules for the US legislature? Why, the US legislature!)
@JovialPlutonian What you mean is, a highly evolved society according to YOUR standards.

Those standards are not universal.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Mamapolo2016 not at all. A highly evolved society observes what works and does it. It's completely universal, we are all subject to it.
@JovialPlutonian Name some highly evolved societies?
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Mamapolo2016 oh their aren't any on earth because they were wiped out, they were indigenous tribes; lemurians were one
@JovialPlutonian Wasn't the postulation that Lemuria existed discredited a few centuries ago?
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Mamapolo2016 by some but I can discredit something doesn't exist, say global warming, but it doesn't mean it doesn't
