Did you know Joe Biden was the drafter of the Patriot Act, and thus the godfather of our modern surveillance state?

Biden drafted the bill in the mid-nineties, but it was so flagrantly unconstitutional it got nowhere. But then in the hysteria after 9/11 the Bush administration repackaged Biden's bill, it passed overwhelmingly and the surveillance state was born. e.g. http://tinyurl.com/y6ry24bu
