Will Democrats and Republicans eventually shake hands one day, and set aside their issues with each other?

Never. Two sides looking to increase power over others and they have convinced both camps of their mindless drones that theirs is the only morally correct way. Neither ideology wants people who can think for themselves.
Hatred is their dogma. Violence their god.
