Is America ready to elect a gay president?

I think the kind of people who wouldn't vote for Pete Buttigieg because he's gay, wouldn't vote for him if he was straight either, because they won't ever vote for a Democrat. I also know conservatives who would support a gay Republican candidate, however. So I'm wondering if there are any liberals who would vote for Trump or would sit out the next election if Buttigieg is the Democratic nominee. And I mean, just because he's gay, not because you disagree with his policy positions.

We already had 2 gay presidents

@MasterLee James Buchanan, probably. Whether Lincoln was bisexual is a theory pushed by historian C. A. Tripp, but that's not widely accepted.

Regardless, neither of them was openly gay or married to another man.

@MasterLee Proof? He was married to a woman, had two kids with her, and there is zero evidence that he ever had a relationship with another man. Of course, you can read his mind and know what he was really thinking.

Reagan spent a lot of time in Hollywood, maybe he was gay, too.

@Lila15 bath house barry? Come on.
@MasterLee Cute. Do you have any credible documentation of that? I'm not talking about something you heard on Alex Jones or The Daily Stormer.

Also, with a name like "Master Bates," you sound a little light in the loafers yourself, peanut.

@LeopoldBloom I am immune to identity politics.
@MasterLee Really? I'm dubious.

Please answer honestly - if in 50 years, white people are a minority in the U.S., would you consider that good, bad, or neutral?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom I have one for you. Do you think in 50 years you can move beyond skin color.
@MasterLee I know you sure can't. The biggest identity politics in the US today is white nationalism in the GOP. It pervades every position they have.

And of course you can't answer my question. The worst thing you can call someone is a "racist," especially if they really are a racist. You wouldn't admit to being a white nationalist any more than you'd admit to beating your wife.

@LeopoldBloom you are wrong but you knew that.

Enjoy your identity politics. It keeps you out of power.
@MasterLee Your identity politics will result in the next Civil War, Adolf.

wow. You are going for a record on name calling.
@MasterLee I've got a long way to go before I beat Mango Mussolini.
