Closing the border will be an economic disaster to trade. And cutting aid to Central America will just exacerbate the problem with refugees. But Trump's blind hatred of brown people overrides any decisions based on likely consequences. He's pandering to his base--the minority of Americans that continue to support the abomination that is his "presidency". So these decisions will hurt Central America, they will hurt Mexico, and they will hurt the US. In other words, full steam ahead on the SS Trump.
