Isn't there freedom of religion in America?

So why on Earth do we keep trying to shove our beliefs down each other's throats when we are free to believe in whatever we want in this country?

It seems like christians are the worst about this. Maybe I'm a little biased though being a non-believer in a place that's 99% christian.

@Samson I am a Christian myself, and sadly I have to say that is true.
