Anyone else getting the feeling the voted correctly in that 23rd June 2016 referendum?

Especially now that Article 13 has passed into EU law.

Edit: For anyone who doesn't know what Article 13 is: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-47708144

Doesn't matter how you look at it we need to leave and soon .We do not want to be stuck with it by 2020 . When we leave a lot of countries will follow , their all waiting to see what happens .I guarantee there will be a flood of leavers after us .

@Rhodesianman One of the (predictable) reasons why it's going badly is because the EU both has power and the incentive to make a bad example of us.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 and the fact that we have an inept Prime Minister.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@Rhodesianman They're waiting for us to thrash out all the shitty maneuvers the EU are pulling, the second country out will have it easier.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@Rhodesianman so much for the EU being about democracy, they are making example of us , so no other country wants to leave,
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
@Burnley123 You havnt a clue their making it hard on purpose we are a cash cow to them we pay in billions and get a very small percentage back .They know if we leave it will cause a flood .
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
@GeniUs You are right the minute we leave they will all go Oh Look we want the deal the uk has .
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@PikachuTrainer it's been a positive horror show; as soon as it looked like the EU was kicking up a stink, the implications and how to mitigate any problems of a 'no deal exit' should have been investigated with experts. Then we should've gone back to the EU with the 'no deal' as our preferred option, until they negotiated fairly with us.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@Rhodesianman who will make up the billions the UK pay in , France , Germany, none of the other countries can afford to, or will they all have budgets cuts to make up UK billions. None will be happy at this
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Rhodesianman I have got a clue and I actually agree that they are making a bad example of us. Trouble is that there are, and will remain, our biggest trading partner for both imports and exports due to geographical proximity. They also have an economy almost six times our size. They have more power than us and that is a fact and facts don't care about your patriotism.

They have problems sure, but in the short term their problems count against us because it means that we are ore likely to get a bad trading deal.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@Nyloncapes the EU would collapse, they have no way to fill in the vacuum that would happen with Britain's exit, and that is the realistic scenario.
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
@Nyloncapes You are right that's why their making it hard there are several countries watching and waiting .I guarantee the EU will fall apart soon after we leave it will be unsustainable
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
@GeniUs yes I agree
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 I wouldn't say their economy is 6x bigger than ours, remember they are struggling with nations that collapsed economically on the Euro, e.g Greece.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@Rhodesianman Germany going into recession, Merkel is out soon, macron of France will be gone soon, they are both less popular then may or Corbyn

We are not in the Euro and have our own currency. We don't have the deep economic problems Greece had before the crash so these arguments don't apply.

This view that EU is going to immediately collapse because Britain is leaving kind of cute tbh, but it doesn’t strike me as anything close to reality. Most nations in the union understand full well that they’re better off in the EU than out.
