As anyone whose IQ test did not come back negative knew before the whole Mueller nonsense started.

@hippyjoe1955 Anyone with a positive IQ also knew that the investigation was necessary and needed to run its course.
The funny thing is that Trump wasn’t among this rarefied set.

@QuixoticSoul And it did and no there was no need for an investigation. The only collusion with Russia was by the democrats.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 Don’t be a dumbass hippie. The investigation needed to happen so that the president could be cleared in the wake of obvious election tampering. The “witch hunt” set have obvious difficulties with critical thinking, so that bit slipped your mind.

The President is among the first who said the whole report should be distribUTed to thr puboc and said so BEFORE the report was issued. @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson He also spent two years bitching about it and trying to undermine the entire endeavor.
jackjjackson · M
Blowing it all off would have not looked good for the President. With this result in, the Dems continue to hector him will only hurt them. The witch hunt comments were simply to throw some red meat to the base. @hippyjoe1955 @QuixoticSoul

Red meat to the base. Brilliant! @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson He shouldn’t have blown it off. He should have embraced it.
Scoring political points at the expense of our fundamental institutions hurts all of us - it’s not very forward thinking or presidential.

He didn’t blow it off. Blowing it off would have been disastrously firing Mueller. Somehow he walked the tightrope of scoffing at the need for HIm to be investigated while not interfering with it to an over the top extent and endorsing its release to all before it was finalized. His base wouldn’t have gone for him merely going along with it. Brilliant all around! @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson His base was already secure. It’s everyone else he needs to worry about - as well as the future of this country and the fabric of democracy.
If his base wouldn’t have gone along him saying something along the lines of “This investigation is necessary and important, and I have nothing to hide” - well, I dunno. You make them sound awfully childish.

That would have been inconsistent with the successful “let Trump be Trump” strategy. @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson Trump being trump is 90% of my problem with this president. His quasi-republican policies are the usual fare that are largely meaningless - his persona is leaving damage the country will feel for decades.
jackjjackson · M
I disagree. We’ve been intentionally deceived re policy for decades. The sunlight is actually shining on policy. That matters. The President’s bad personal behavior is a different issue. @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson You've been deceived? How exactly - and how are thing different now?
jackjjackson · M
You might start with the Obama administration giving arms to both sides in several conflicts lol 🤣 @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson Several conflicts?
