I just ran some simple numbers.

By the time of slavery's abolition the US had condoned slavery for 88 years (1864-1776).

Around that time the average wage of someone of their occupation was $10/year making the total sum owed in 1864 to be $880.

With inflation that would be worth $22,500 today.

Assuming we literally paid every single African American (which we wouldn't) that means the US would have to give them $945B (based on a population of 42M African Americans).

Given this data, would you accept that $945B is an acceptable sum to pay to finally repay the ancestors of slaves and finally remove the idea of white guilt from US culture?

Once not one single person that was a slave got any kind of hand out for their pain and suffering i do believe they should have given back, and are still due to give back. The guilt though, that will never change why, because they still oppress us.
That's another discussion.
But whats hard is tracking down the people to give back to them.
If they used that money to actually fund better education and living conditions, perhaps black people may be able to make better strides in life. I understand lots won't understand this but since they don't want to employ us if they gave us that ability we could have our own schools and businesses that dont actaully have to affect their world.
But they keep us in the lower paid Jobs, doing overtime, and on short term contracts so we can't ever build anything, keep us in the ghettos so our money has to go back repairing what we cannot ever truly fix.
Think about it...

But wouldn't that be freedom...
