Why are people so racist to President Trump ?

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

Be nice if Spike Lee could read his notes, or better yet not have to use notes at all, when doing his racist hit on your President, who has done more for African Americans than almost any other Pres!

Spike Lee is a racist. This is not news and has nothing to do with the litany of problems surrounding Donald J. Trump.

@Elegy Donald J Trump thought it was newsworthy.
@Elegy What makes him a racist ? The fact that he makes films about his culture ?

@bijouxbroussard Maybe its because he asked people to choose love instead of hate ?

@bijouxbroussard Don't go making wild speculations or you'll lose credibility. Stick to the topic at hand. You have no idea what my personal views on race are. He has been quoted many times over the years saying racist things about white and jewish people. I believe him to be a well documented racist. I don't really care. I support his right to hate whomever he wants.
@Elegy You stated that he was a racist, which I thought was the topic at hand, and I simply asked why you believed so. People have also criticized him for “only focusing on ‘black issues’”, over the years—so it wasn’t that wild a speculation. The anti-defamation league once accused him when he related a specific incident (in a 1990 film) of exploitation and he said it wasn’t anti-Semitic—that the Jewish producers and establishment in Hollywood would never have allowed him to make an anti-semitic film.

@bijouxbroussard I am not referring to his films in any way. I am referring to statement's he has been reported for making in his personal life from complaints about Schindler's List winning awards back in the day to the much more recent gentrification of his neighborhood in NY. He's a grump and he's racist. Since when has that mattered to anyone to the point of defending it?
@Elegy Complaining about gentrification is not necessarily racist. People are losing their homes. And it’s not like “white flight” where people chose to leave rather than have neighbors of color—renters are being forced out of old neighborhoods because of wealthy people buying up property and evicting them.

@bijouxbroussard Right except the comments he made were specifically about race. 😒
@Elegy It’s often whites (and sometimes Asians) with money purchasing properties and non-whites without money being displaced.
