Sorry America, but I cannot support a woman who'd put her name on a law banning companies from boycotting Israeli settlements.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@BlueVeins Sorry America, but I cannot support a president who commits treason with a foreign government to enrich himself at the nation's expense. ANY other opponent is preferable to Trump.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@BlueVeins If that’s true, I’d like to vote for both of them!
BlueVeins · 22-25
@windinhishair I can't either, but at least that's not proven.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@BlueVeins It will be prior to 2020. So many of his campaign have been convicted or pleaded guilty to crimes. It would be beyond belief for Trump to have known nothing about it, as he asserts.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@windinhishair That's true, he probably will get impeached by then.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@BlueVeins I doubt Klobuchar will be the nominee. At this time four years ago, Bush looked like the Republican nominee. Things may well change between now and November 2020.
StrictSouthernHOH · 46-50, M
@windinhishair What treason? With whom are we at war?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@StrictSouthernHOH Serving Putin's interests is treasonous. Treason does not require war.
StrictSouthernHOH · 46-50, M
@BlueVeins Trump might be impeached for upholding the Constitution and trying to protect America from foreign invaders. However, he will not be convicted in the Senate, where Republicans hold a 53-45-2 majority.
StrictSouthernHOH · 46-50, M
@windinhishair Actually, it does require a war. Countries with whom we are formally at peace cannot be our enemies under U.S. treason law.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@StrictSouthernHOH His fake emergency will be challenged, and he'll lose in court, but he won't and shouldn't be impeached for that. He'll be impeached when the evidence of his crimes is released. Republicans may well vote not to convict, but they'll have to overlook a documented criminal in the White House to do it and go on record as supporting his criminality.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@StrictSouthernHOH Which statute is that? I'd like to read it. Aaron Burr was arrested and charged with treason in 1806. Which war would that be?
StrictSouthernHOH · 46-50, M
@windinhishair Why is America being invaded by millions of illegal aliens, some of whom have committed horrific violence on our soil, not an emergency?

President Obama declared a state of emergency 13 times. Which ones were more important and valid than protecting our borders and the innocent legal citizens within the? The law is clear. President Trump has the authority to declare a national emergency in this situation.

If congress had done their job and appropriated the funds needed for the wall, we wouldn't be having this conversation, but Democrats care more about criminals than the law abiding citizens who elected them.

@windinhishair It has been well established since 1976 that presidents may reallocate funds during a national emergency such as this.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@beckyromero Funny that Jeb lost in part because he was a moderate Republican...guess, when he dies, he will be put in the Smithsonian next to the passenger pidgeon...
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@StrictSouthernHOH Not once in every other emergency has the president acted against the will of Congress, and against the will of the American people. His authority is lacking and will be exposed in court.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@beckyromero Remember that guy? I wasn't a fan, but at least he was civil. Quite unlike the monstrosity we have now. Things would be very different.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
@windinhishair

I could vote for Jeb Bush. I certainly would over Trump. And I would over some of the Democrats currently running.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@beckyromero I could vote for Bush. Or Kasich. I wouldn't vote for Trump if he was the only one running.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@BlueVeins they make those bills so difficult to understand.
