Bill Maher on the Progressive Foot Stompers

I've been a liberal from the time I learned right from wrong. But with the advent of social media a real problem arose. Faux-persecution and faux-outrage by Progressives. It's become a 'boy cried wolf' scenario. REAL issues are lumped in with Little Johnny's whining about...whatever.

Bill Maher makes a great point that a lot of Progressives and Democrats need to hear. The foot-stompers cost Clinton the election in 2016 and it'll happen again unless people start thinking about others. The big picture is much more important than someone's feeeelings.

It's why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is seen as some kind of hero. She appeals to her generation's selfishness. She's doing things that are harmful to the Progressive movement. It's not about actually implementing policy. It's about "look at me." But as long as her Twitter feed is cookin,' and her supporters can beat their chests, that seems to be enough.

So IMO, Maher NAILED it with this.

We said the same thing about Bernie Sanders until Hillary Clinton robbed him of the Democratic nomination.

The DNC official, Donna Brazile, now a political analyst, wrote in Politico Magazine on Thursday that she discovered an August 2015 agreement between the national committee and Clinton’s campaign and fundraising arm that gave Clinton “control (of) the party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised” in exchange for taking care of the massive debt leftover from President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign.

Until the DNC ACTUALLY listens to us, we have no power.

@cuppatea Seems to me that Democrats went to the voting booth and made their decision on their own. I know I did. And I think it's safe to say everyone was up to speed on the candidates before hand.
Also seems to me that Sanders wasn't a Democrat until he decided to use them to run. There's no edict that the DNC has to behave a certain way. He lost. And he lost by a wide margin. And there was a reason for that. It was because he was an inferior candidate. I like a lot of his policies. Doesn't mean they could be implemented or he would have been a good President.

@Ynotisay

Can you read? Is English your second language?? Or do you only want to understand what your bleeding liberal heart wants to?

Liberals, who cannot understand how they fucked up during the last election, are doomed to repeat the same arrogant mistakes.

The DNC backed ($$) the wrong person. And that, in my book, isn't the "right" thing to do.

I also find it amusing that your morals didn't find it worrisome when Obama deported over 200,000 people yet you are butthurt about Trump.

Your tribal politics is no better than Trumpians.

@cuppatea Here's my response after reading your first sentence.
Fuck you.
Here's the rest.
You didn't watch that clip, did you?
Grow the fuck up, huh?
